PENINSULA AUTO BODY WARRANTY

Our warranty guarantees the work performed by Peninsula Auto Body so long as said vehicle remains under the present ownership, items on the repair order such as, Sublet Work, or Sublet Labor, are subject to the guarantee of those suppliers. This warranty shall only apply if the defects occurred under normal driving conditions and not where any vehicle has been subjected to accidents, negligence, abuse, or misuse. Specifically excluded from this Limited Warranty are ordinary wear, tear and deterioration, rust, corrosion, scratches, and gravel or other marks or defects acquired from driving conditions. This Limited Warranty shall only apply if the vehicle is returned to Peninsula Auto Body and we are given the opportunity to perform the warranty service. This Limited Warranty is divided into four parts with specific additional conditions applying to each part as follows:

Metal Work: Peninsula Auto Body provides a limited lifetime Warranty against defective workmanship including welding and the application of materials utilized in making collision repairs to industry standards against cracking, flaking, pitting, or other non-excluded deterioration. Peninsula Auto Body, in its sole discretion, shall repair or replace and repaint any warranted metalwork.

Painting, Stripes, and Decals: Peninsula Auto Body provides a Limited Warranty on painting-related priming and paint work against solvent blistering, peeling, hazing, flaking, and cracking, and a Limited Warranty on the application and adhesion of decorative stripes and decals, excluding defects which are caused by extreme environmental conditions to which the vehicle may be exposed. This shop will, at our sole discretion, re-prime, re-stripe, or re-decal the specific section or sections of the vehicle warranted hereby. The painting, stripes and decal warranty is only valid when the paint and/or decals where applied over original factory finishes that were free of defect.

Parts: Peninsula Auto Body guarantees that parts or materials used by us are of top quality. Those parts or materials are subject to the guarantee of that supplier. We will assist in handling any claim under the supplier’s guarantee. We guarantee that used parts or parts other than original equipment manufactured parts were not used without authorization from you as noted on your repair order.

Mechanical Repairs: Peninsula Auto Body provides a Limited Warranty on all mechanical repairs pertaining directly to original collision damage, excluding suspension, air conditioning, or other electrical assemblies or components. This shop will, at our sole option, re-repair any mechanical assembly or component warranted hereby.

 

Parts: Peninsula Auto Body does not warrant parts. Parts or components or subassemblies are subject to the warranties of the supplier/manufacturer which are hereby assigned to you. Peninsula Auto Body will assist you in handling any claim under the supplier manufacturer’s guaranty.

Customer Obligations

In order to obtain the benefits of this warranty, the owner of the vehicle must present the owner’s copy of this warranty document to the warrantor or other authorized repairer before requesting warranted repairs or parts.

All claims hereunder must be presented within the above designated time periods for the authorization date set forth below or the claims shall be waived and all coverage hereunder void. To the extent permitted by law, any and all losses or damages resulting from any causes, whether based on contract, negligence or otherwise, shall in no event exceed the amount you paid for the portion of Peninsula Auto Body's work that you claim is defective. Specifically excluded are incidental costs, such as towing fees, car rental charges, travel expense, or assemblies and components which are not specifically covered by this written warranty, nor are consequential damages such as damage to other assemblies and components resulting from a defective part of installation of such part installed or repaired during the repair included in this warranty. This written warranty shall not be varied, supplemented, qualified, or interpreted by any prior course of dealings. This written Limited Warranty contains all of the terms and conditions and agreements between the parties and shall not be varied except in a writing signed by both parties. Any prior discussions or verbal statements are excluded unless expressly stated herein. This Written Warranty shall be null and void if the repair is altered, adjusted, or tampered with by any person not authorized by Peninsula Auto Body, Inc. This warranty is not transferable.
